Bactrian Banded and Eyed Agate Bead from China-Tibet
Exceptional natural banded agate bead from the pre-islamic north eastern Bactria (HIMALAIAN REGIONS AND BEYOND).
The bead presents small chips on the edges, and some traces of silica oxydation.
Perfectly preserved, it could be possible to date it to the first times to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, when Bactria were known in China as Da Xia (大夏) , that means “Barbarian empire”.
