Antique Silver Gold Plated Box with 3 Micro Mosaics.

First half of the 19th century, silver gold plated (probably a snuff box), made in Rome.
The cover is decorated by three fine micromosaics depicting two peasants in the typical costumes of the Roman countryside, and the Pantheon. This piece could be possibly attributed to the workshop of Antonio Aguatti (? – 1846), son of Cesare Aguatti, one of the first micromosaic artists with Giacomo Raffaelli and Giuseppe Tambroni. Datable to the twenties of the 19th century. In the fourth photo, the hallmark of the Vatican is clearly visible.
