Excellent Roman Micro Mosaic. Roma, End of the 18th century.

Antique Roman micro mosaic, representing a pastoral life scene, one noble lady entertained by the tricks done by a child’s dog, with the mother looking; at typical dresses of the time. Possibly inspired by the pictures of Bartolomeo Pinelli, an Italian painter (1781 – 1835) who painted many of those rustic views.

Like all the early micromosaics, built in a copper frame. Datable end of 18th century.

Very Good quality. Good condition.
