This antique Indonesian gold ring originates from Java and is commonly referred to as “Majapahit,” named after the great dynasty that thrived from 1293 to around 1527.
The Majapahit Empire was one of the last major Hindu empires in the region and is considered one of the greatest and most powerful empires in the history of Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
