Bactrian Chalcedony Bead from China-Tibet
Natural chalcedony bead from the pre-islamic north eastern Bactria (HIMALAIAN REGIONS AND BEYOND).
Perfectly preserved, it could be possible to date it to the first times to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, when Bactria where known in China as Da Xia (大夏) , that means “Barbarian empire”.
